Killer darts rules
Killer is the party game: everyone gets a number, earns the right to attack, then takes lives off each other until one player is left. It takes two to eight players and is best with a crowd.
Setup
Each player gets a different number from 1 to 20 (The Darts App assigns them at random) and starts with 3 or 5 lives. Pick one of two rule sets before you start: Doubles only, the classic pub game, or Any segment, which is quicker and kinder to beginners.
Doubles only
- Hit the double of your own number to become a killer.
- As a killer, each double you hit on another player's number takes one of their lives.
- Once you're a killer, a double on your own number takes one of yours.
- Singles and trebles don't count for anything.
Any segment
- Hit a double or treble of your own number to become a killer at once, or three singles of it across your turns (singles from earlier visits count).
- As a killer, hits take lives by multiplier: 1 for a single, 2 for a double, 3 for a treble.
- The same goes for your own number: a treble on it costs you three lives.
During a visit
- Every dart counts as it lands. Qualify with your first dart and your next two can already take lives.
- A player with no lives left is out at once, and their turns are skipped.
- Knock yourself out and your visit ends there. If that leaves one player, they win.
- The bull and other players' numbers before you qualify do nothing.
The last player with lives wins. Pub rules vary, so agree the version before you start.
